SPECIFICATION

·         WOODEN GATES - The sizes stated are the actual gate size. Fittings sold seperately.

·         METAL GATES - All metal gates are manufactured from solid 12mm vertical steel bar spaced at 100mm (4") and framework to suit the size of the gate.  Sizes are GAP sizes - see below.

·         METAL RAILINGS - All metal railings are manufactured from solid 12mm vertical steel bar spaced at 100mm (4") and 30 x 8mm cross rails. Sizes are GAP sizes - see below

·         FITTINGS for steel gates/railings ARE INCLUDED Free- fixing brackets, hinges, latches, nuts & bolts, & drop bolts on double gates are supplied FREE OF CHARGE with your order.

FINISH 

Metal Gates and railings are finished with a high quality black metal primer for you to paint over.  We offer rust proof galvanising (silver in colour) and/or powder coating in any colour too.  PLEASE NOTE the only way to stop steel from rusting is to have it galvanised.  Powder coating is a quality paint finish but it is not rustproof and will require some maintenance, this can be applied over the top of galvanising. Nuts, bolts and gate eyebolts are zinc coated.

HOW TO ORDER THE CORRECT SIZE - metal gates/railings

The measurements given for metal gates & railings are the gap sizes between your brick pillars or posts. eg: a 3ft wide railing will fit a GAP of 3ft wide. There is an adjustment of up to 25mm approx on railing panels. All metal gate hinges are adjustable on width to approx 60mm per gate. Ground clearance of 40mm approx is allowed in the given heights of metal gates and railings. (eg   an 18" railing will be actual height of 16.5" approx)  We will manufacture to your sizes at no extra cost.

Metal Posts are available as ground fix with approx 18" to concrete into the ground or base plate fix to screw down onto solid surface ie: brick wall or slabs. The base plate is 6" square with fixing holes to ensure stability for the posts and railings.  Please ask if you need a smaller base plate.                                                                                                               If you require bespoke made-to-measure wrought iron style metal gates or railings please email your requirements for a quote.
